Homeade Japanese Sake Recipes

Sake Tonic, Cocktails, Mojito, & more!



Sake rocks (酒ロック)

Pour sake into a rocks glass with ice!


You can also add a squeeze of lemon or lime if you like. 

Sake Tonic / Soda (酒トニック/酒ソーダ)

Pour half sake and half tonic water (or soda) in a glass. Ratio 1:1.


You can even add or squeeze a thin slice of lemon or lime to it!



Sake x Green Tea (日本酒 × グリーンティー)

Serve half-part sake and half-part green tea. Ratio 1:1. 


If you want it sweetened, add a teaspoon of sugar/gum syrup. 



Sake and Fresh Fruit (日本酒 × フレッシュフルーツ)

Squeeze grapefruit, oranges, lemons, limes, etc. and add the pulp to the sake.


Peaches, mangoes, and strawberries go well with it too!


It is also delicious on the rocks glass. Tonic water/soda makes it refreshing and easy to drink.


If you want it sweetened, add a teaspoon of sugar/gum syrup.



Sake Mojito (酒モヒート)


  • Sake : 60ml / 酒モヒート
  • Soda : 60ml / ソーダ : 60ml
  • Sugar syrup : 1 teaspoon / シュガーシロップ : ティースプーン1杯
  • Lime : 1/8th cut / ライム : 1/8カット
  • Mint leaves: a good amount / ミントの葉

1. Put the mint leaves, lime and sugar syrup in a glass and lightly mash it.


2. Fill the glass with ice.


3. Pour the soda into the glass and pour the sake over the ice, mix it lightly.


4. Garnish with mint leaves and insert a straw to complete it!


Sake & Sweet juice

Pour one-part sake and two-parts Calpico or Ramune into the glass.
Ratio  1 : 2.

You can also add a squeeze of lemon or lime if you like.
